After a challenging journey through Greymoor, players eager for a safe haven in Hollow Knight: Silksong will encounter the Sinner’s Road bench. At first glance, this bench appears to offer respite from the relentless roach-like hounds, but it remains locked, unable to fully emerge from the ground. Fortunately, the solution to unlock and fix the bench is hidden in the same area.
The Sinner’s Road bench is located on the left side of the initial vertical chamber, marked by numerous signs as you enter. To reach it, wall jump up the hanging cages and exit through the doorway on the right. Continue moving right until you spot a bug in a broken cage. Use the right side of the cage to boost yourself upward, then platform to the top left section of this area to find a door that leads back to your starting room.
Inside, you’ll see cages below leading directly to the bench. Before heading down, activate a switch to make your route shorter. Jump onto the cage above, move to the left platform, dash through the gap, and drop down to find the switch that lowers a cage. Then, return to the platform outside the spiked entrance and descend onto the cages until you reach the bench room.
Once there, use pogo jumps to cross the swinging metal ball and pay 60 rosaries to activate the bench. However, the bench will remain broken and won’t fully rise. To repair it, climb the wall to the left of the bench and break the wall near the ceiling to reveal a secret passage.
Navigate this hidden area by pogoing over more swinging metal balls until you reach the left wall, then glide over spikes and additional swinging balls. If the gliding section proves difficult, try gliding through the gap and dropping down quickly as the swinging ball moves aside, then immediately glide again to avoid further hazards.
At the bottom, continue pogoing over more swinging balls until you reach a section covered in roots. Destroy these roots to expose the gears, which will free the bench. Finally, wall jump up the left wall and return to the bench, where you can now rest safely.
